Looking for a d100?
A d100 is one roll from 1 to 100, the percentile dice for wild magic and treasure tables. It has its own roller. This page rolls a hundred separate dice and adds them up.
What a hundred dice teach
One d6 is anyone's guess. A hundred d6 are not: the total almost always comes out close to 350.
| Total | Chance of at least that |
|---|---|
| 320 | 96.3% |
| 340 | 73% |
| 350 | 51.2% |
| 360 | 28.9% |
| 380 | 4.2% |
The range is 100 to 600, but about 69% of rolls land between 333 and 367. That squeeze toward the average is the law of large numbers, and it is why a classroom rolls a hundred dice instead of one.
Change the die
Any die works: pick fewer dice with the stepper, or roll a hundred d20s with the dice generator by typing 100d20. To see the bell curve for any roll, use the dice calculator.
