4d4 in D&D
- Acid Arrow (Melf's Acid Arrow) deals 4d4 acid damage on a hit, then 2d4 more at the end of the target's next turn. On a miss it still does half the first 4d4.
- Magic Missile cast from a 2nd-level slot fires four darts, each 1d4 + 1. Rolled together that is 4d4 + 4, average 14. Set the modifier to 4 above. Every dart hits, so there is nothing else to roll.
